Wan Azman Wan Abbas
(Executive Director)
Wan Azman has over 35 years of international experience in various industries. He returned to Malaysia from the USA in October 2013 under the ‘Returning Expert Programme’ (REP) by TalentCorp Malaysia. He has worked in green energy, aviation services, financial services, property development, construction, and oil and gas.
As the Chief Operating Officer of ENCORP Berhad, Wan Azman oversaw five key business segments: property development, construction, retail mall, and facilities management. Prior to this, he served as the Senior Manager – Internal Audit at Servisair LLC (now Swissport International) based in the UK and USA, demonstrating expertise in leading internal audit functions for a global aviation ground services provider worldwide. He also worked at Deleum Berhad as the Financial Controller, contributing to financial management and operational excellence. His career started as a Senior Regional Internal Auditor at Esso Group in Malaysia, covering all Esso/Exxon operations in the Asia Pacific and Australia. Wan Azman holds an M.B.A. from the University of Miami (USA) and a B.Sc. in Accounting from California State University, Fresno (USA).

Professor Dr. Aini Suzana Ariffin
(Director of AI Policy, Strategy, Governance & Ethics)
Dr. Aini is a distinguished policymaker and strategist with extensive expertise in Science, Technology & Innovation (ST&I) Policy Development & Evaluation, Strategic Planning, Business Development, Innovation Management, AI Governance, Ethics & ESG, and International Strategic Alliances. She holds a PhD in STI Policy & Innovation Management from the University of Manchester, UK.
Presently, she holds several esteemed positions including Chair of the Science, Technology, Engineering & Innovation Policy for Asia & Pacific Region Network (STEPAN) under UNESCO, Advisor at Institute Sultan Iskandar (ISI) and Fellow Expert at the Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics (CAIRO) at University Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), and member of the ISO Technical Working Group for Artificial Intelligence representing Malaysia. Dr. Aini is also a Certified IEEE CertifAIEd™ Assessor for AI Ethics Standards (IEEE-USA).
Dr. Aini’s most notable accomplishments span her leadership roles in formulating and evaluating various national policies and strategic plans. These include the National STI Policy, Commercialisation Policy, Technopreneurship Policy & Action Plan, National Higher Education Action Plans (2021-2025), The National Artificial Intelligence Roadmap (2021-2025), UTM Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Blueprint, The International Science and Technology Centre (ISTIC) Strategic Master Plan (2021-2027), and STEPAN Action Plans (2021-2024) under UNESCO.

Dr. Shah Shafiek
(Director of Business Strategy)
Dr. Shah spearheads innovation at the intersection of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital transformation. With over 18 years of experience in management consultancy and the implementation of advanced ICT and TVET laboratory solutions, he is recognized for his ability to integrate AI-powered learning ecosystems that transform education and workforce training. His expertise extends to the evolution of smart classrooms, leveraging AI-enhanced pedagogy, intelligent automation, and adaptive learning technologies to optimize learning outcomes and operational performance for government and industry stakeholders.
Driven by a commitment to shape the future of learning, Dr. Shah connects the power of intelligent smart dashboards and immersive technologies including Virtual Reality (VR) to create engaging, effective and future-ready learning environments. As an experienced HRD Corp Trainer, Dr. Shah has successfully designed and conducted diverse training programs across Malaysia, reaching thousands of participants from entry-level to senior management professionals.
Dr. Shah also helps organizations adopt intelligent systems, having developed and deployed AI-powered enterprise tools that enhance productivity and support data-driven decision-making. These solutions include Project Management Systems, Workflow Systems, Asset Management Systems, Location-Based Attendance Systems, AI Contract Management Systems, and Data Analytics Dashboards.
Additionally, he serves as the Chairman of Digital Technologies at the Malaysian Association of Engineers (MAE), where he advocates for the adoption of digital transformation strategies and promotes innovation within the national engineering ecosystem. His work is driven by a commitment to empowering individuals and organizations to adapt and thrive in the digital age through the strategic fusion of technology and training.

Assoc. Prof. Col(R). Dato’ Ts. Dr. Husin Jazri
(Associate Member – Cybersecurity)
Dato’ Dr. Husin Jazri is a versatile and results-driven Cybersecurity professional with experience in the technology industry, recognized as a cybersecurity professor at Taylor’s University Malaysia. His career reflects deep experience in working with a variety of public and private sector customers on protecting their systems, networks, and data for IT solutions delivery through an ever-evolving digital world. He is lauded for his foundational contributions to the field, having been the founder of CyberSecurity Malaysia, the co-founder and first Co-Chair of the Asia Pacific Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), and the founder and first chair of OIC-CERT. For his contributions to cybersecurity in Malaysia and globally, Dr. Husin was the recipient of the prestigious Harold Tipton Lifetime Achievement Award by the ISC2, USA.
Currently, Dr. Husin is the Director of the Global Centre for Cyber Safety within the School of Computer Science, Faculty of Innovation and Technology at Taylor’s University. He has previously served as a cybersecurity professor at the University of Malaysia Computing and Engineering (UNIMY), Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), and the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST). His professional expertise extends across IT solutions delivery, as he has led and worked in geographically diverse and multicultural teams to deliver robust technical services and solutions across Europe and APAC.
As a recognized expert, Dr. Husin offers insightful perspectives on international cybersecurity policy and legal frameworks. He has noted that Malaysia’s decision to ratify the United Nations Convention Against Cybercrimes is pivotal, as it will enhance the nation’s ability to trace and counter cybercrimes across borders, especially since most digital crimes operate transnationally. He has also stated that while the convention aligns closely with existing Malaysian laws, certain areas, such as Mutual Legal and Technical Assistance and Extradition Requests, may require additional clarity and resources for effective implementation. Academically, he holds a PhD in Computer Science (Cybersecurity) from the National Defence University of Malaysia and is an alumnus of institutions including Royal Holloway University of London. His professional qualifications include CISSP, CCLP, and DPMP.

Professor Dr. Ing. Nik Abdullah Nik Mohamed
(Associate Member – AI for Engineering & TVET)
Professor Nik is a highly distinguished academic and researcher with over 35 years of experience in the field of Mechanical Engineering. His career has spanned prestigious institutions such as the Technical University of Berlin and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). Currently, he holds the position of Visiting Professor at UCSI University Kuala Lumpur and Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP). He previously served as Director of the German Academic and Career Centre at UMP (2013-2015) and Deputy Director of the Institute of Space Science at UKM (2009-2013). His extensive experience has established him as a leader in both academic and research settings.
His career reflects deep expertise in Mechanical Engineering, serving as Senior Research Fellow at UKM (since 2005) and Professor VK7 (since 2006). Previously, he was an Associate Professor (1995-2006) and Lecturer (1992-1995) in the Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering. Internationally, he taught at Technische Fachhochschule Berlin (1991) and conducted research at Technische Universität Berlin (1985-1990). His research focuses on Continuum Mechanics, Noise and Vibration, and Green Energy Management.
Professor Nik has garnered international recognition and established valuable collaborations throughout his career. He is a member of the International Society of Optical Engineering (SPIE), USA, and serves on the editorial boards of the Bulletin of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia and the Proceedings for Computational and Experimental Mechanics (CEM) of EM3ARC Conference 2007, UKM. He has received prestigious scholarships and awards, including recognition from the Carl Duisberg Gesellschaft, the Japan Society for Promotion of Science, the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), and the International Exposition for Invention and New Products in Geneva.
He actively contributes to the community through his involvement in various service initiatives. He has served as Advisor to the Task Force Committee for the Empowerment of TVET Malaysia (2019-2021), appointed by the Director General of the Department of Higher Education. He has also been a consultant to the Standard Committee for the “Code of Practice of TVET Programme Accreditation” at the Malaysian Qualification Agency (MQA). He also served on the Board of Directors at Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) from 2019 to 2022.

Datuk Zunaidah Idris
(Associate Member – Leadership, Governance & Talent Development)
Datuk Zunaidah Idris is a leader guided by values and driven by purpose, bringing over 30 years of expertise in investment banking and leadership. She is a seasoned HRDC Accredited Trainer with over four years of experience delivering impactful leadership and mentorship programs. Her extensive career includes serving as the Senior Vice President, Head of Dealing, Corporate and Institutional Business Group (CIBG) at Hong Leong Investment Bank, where she was responsible for developing institutional business strategy and new ideas, and successfully leading the Bursa HLIB Stratum Focus series for more than four years. Throughout her tenure, she has demonstrated a passion for advancing talent development and organizational growth, leading with empathy, passion, and sincerity.
Datuk Zunaidah is the Founder of the Women Leadership Foundation (WLF) and a Board of Trustees member, where she has been instrumental in steering leadership-focused projects and emphasizing mentorship and professional development. She initiated the Leadership pillar at WLF and curated programs such as the SiLK Mentoring Assessment Roundtable Talk Series (SMART Mentoring programme) and Industry Visits. Her strategic approach has successfully driven collaborations with prominent organizations, enabling transformative programs in leadership and entrepreneurship, including partnerships with ASB and Huawei. Her dedication to governance and sustainability is highlighted by her role as Chairman of the Institute of Malaysian Plantation and Commodities, where she successfully introduced a strategy on governance and sustainability business at the board level and promoted new ways of doing business via collaboration and partnership.
Academically, Datuk Zunaidah was appointed as an Adjunct Professor at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), where she shared her knowledge and experiences from August 2019 to February 2023. She also served as an Industry External Advisor for the Finance & Banking School at Asia Pacific University of Technology and Innovation (APU/APIIT). She is extremely passionate about developing more leaders, giving opportunities, and advocating for Women & Youth empowerment. She holds a Bachelor in Finance with a specialization in Financial Institution from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.

Poedjo Witjaksono
(Associate Member – Intelligent Automation & Organizational Strategy)
Poedjo is a seasoned business strategist with over 30 years of experience leading organizational transformations in telecommunications, ICT, and engineering. He specializes in guiding organizations through digital transformation, with a focus on robotic process automation (RPA) and AI-driven solutions. Currently, Poedjo is a Senior Advisor at SimplifyNext, a leading ASEAN Intelligent Automation corporation, where he was formerly the General Manager.
Throughout his career, Poedjo has worked closely with C-suite executives and management teams, advising on complex challenges in business development, strategic planning, and operational efficiency. He served as Director of Strategic Engagements at Accenture and Senior Director of Business Development – IT at Huawei Technologies, where he focused on introducing new IT products and solutions to the South Pacific market. He also served as Sales Director at Oracle, Sun Microsystems Sdn Bhd, and Comverse. He was the Chief Executive Officer at MD Labs Sdn Bhd, an intelligence solutions provider specializing in data analytics and vertical solutions. His proven ability to deliver high-impact results stems from his strategic vision and hands-on approach, which ensures that organizations not only meet their immediate goals but also develop the internal capabilities for sustained success.
Poedjo mentor leaders in developing the strategic thinking, adaptability, and communication skills necessary for long-term success. He is a certified and accredited HRDC trainer and has his own Professional Diploma program on Strategic Engagement. This program focuses on an approach to building relationships and partnerships with individuals, organizations, or communities in pursuit of a specific goal or outcome. He also serves as a Specialist in Learning & Facilitation with AAI Global Consultancy & Transformation and Axon Consultancy. At these consultancies, he is a certified trainer of the Business Strategy Professional (BSP) program by the London Examinations Board (LEB). The BSP is a Level 7 certification and can be credited towards an MBA course.

Dr. Shazwin Mat Taib
(Associate Member – ESG, AI Ethics & Sustainable Development)
Dr. Shazwin is a Senior Lecturer at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), where she specializes in Environmental Management, Development Science, and Sustainable Development. With a Ph.D. and Master’s in Development Science from Hiroshima University, Japan, she has gained extensive knowledge and experience in addressing global environmental challenges and promoting sustainable practices. Her professional journey includes roles as a Migration Analyst for IBM Malaysia and a Green Procurement Executive with TDK Malaysia, alongside memberships with the International Solid Waste Association (ISWA), Responsible AI Institute (USA), and ESG Malaysia.
Dr. Shazwin has demonstrated exceptional leadership in her career, notably serving as the Deputy Director of UTM Campus Sustainability from 2017 to 2023. She has significantly contributed to the development of the UTM Sustainability Blueprint 2030 and the UTM Sustainability Report 2020-2022. Her involvement extends to international and national committees focused on AI governance and ethics under the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI). Her ability to manage complex projects is evident through her leadership in numerous research initiatives in environmental management and sustainable development, impacting various organizations across Asia, Europe, and ASEAN countries.
A recognized expert in responsible AI and governance, Dr. Shazwin serves on the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 42/WG 4 and WG 5 working groups, focusing on AI use cases and computational approaches. She is also a committee member for the AI Code of Ethics for the Communications and Multimedia Industry appointed by the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, and the National Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence Committee (NBAIC) under MOSTI. Having completed IEEE CertifAIEd™ Assessor Training, she is committed to ensuring the ethical and transparent use of AI, helping organizations harness technology responsibly while prioritizing sustainability and social responsibility.

TS. Olya Dollah
(Associate Member – AI for Digital Productivity & Learning)
Ts. Olya Dollah is a highly skilled professional IT trainer recognized for her exceptional expertise in leveraging technology solutions from Microsoft, Google, Apple, and Canva to unlock productivity, particularly through AI-driven training sessions. She is adept at guiding individuals and organizations through the complexities of modern digital tools, focusing on practical applications that enhance efficiency and foster innovation.
She specializes in designing and delivering courses centered on AI applications for both business and education, with training topics including Google Gemini for Business/Educators, Microsoft Co-Pilot for Business Users, and AI 101 for Senior Management Teams. Anthony Dominic

Tajul’s journey spans technology companies, healthtech startups, and global tech giants like SAP, Oracle, and IBM, where he led the government, education and healthcare business, forged strategic partnerships, and drove multimillion-dollar growth

Dr. James Ong

Dr. James is founder and managing director of Artificial Intelligence International Institute (AIII), a think tank advocating Sustainable AI for Humanity and is co-author of “AI for Humanity: Building A Sustainable AI for the Future”. He is also Adjunct Professor at Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) and industry advisor for AI Mega Centre.
With over 35 years of industry and technology experience, James is an entrepreneur and ecosystem builder who is actively involved in the tech ecosystem in Asia and US. He has co-founded Tech4SDG Alliance for Asia and serves as Singapore secretary general. Patricia Shaw, LLB, LLM

Patricia has 20 years of experience as a lawyer in data, technology and regulatory/government affairs and is a registered solicitor in England and Wales, and the Republic of Ireland. She has authored and edited several works on law and regulation, policy, ethics, and AI. She has a particular interest in algorithmic bias, autonomous decision making in high impact AI systems, privacy, and fairness, and how AI impacts on gender and religion and belief.
Patricia was also named on Computer Weekly’s longlist as one of the Most Influential Women in UK Technology in 2021, 2022 and 2023. She is an expert advisor on the IEEE’s CertifAIEd (previously known as ECPAIS) ethical certification panel, is an IEEE Maestro (a title only given to 3 people in the world) and, sits on IEEE’s P7003 (algorithmic bias)/P2247.4 (adaptive instructional systems)/P7010.1 (AI and ESG/UN SDGs) standards working groups.
